He was predeceased by : his parents, William Mavin and Jane Mavin. He is survived by : his wife Shirley; his children, Greg (Trina) of St. John and Donna Kearley (Greg) of Tampa, Florida; his siblings, Jean Cooper (Phonse) of St. Lawrence, Ann Cumben (Harold) of Grand Bank, Roy Mavin (Bride) of Sunnyside, Carl Mavin (Linda) of Fortune, Junior Mavin (Mary) of Lawn and Walt Mavin (Jeanette) of Mount Pearl; and his grandchildren, Coady, Stephanie, Adam, Michael, Noah and Kaia. He is also survived by many nieces & nephews plus a large circle of extended family and friends.

In Don's memory, donations may be made to the family or the Fortune United Church or flowers gratefully accepted.
