We are sad to announce that on May 6, 2026, Fred Bishop of Fortune, Newfoundland passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Lisa Bishop; his parents, Jesse Bishop and Sebina Bishop; his siblings, Emily, Ann, Frank, Charles and Eric (Susan); his siblings-in-law, Bessie, Kim, Gordon, Philip, Carlson, Dana, Edgar, Frank and Angus; his parents-in-law, Andrew and Olive Piercey; his niece Sandra; and his great-niece Ocean Keeping.
He is survived by: his sons, Tyler (Melissa) and David; his grandchildren, Claire and Chase; his siblings, Marion, Barbara (Ken) and Dave (Agnes); his siblings-in-law, Evelyn, Geraldine, Denise, Trina (Rod), Roger and Lorne; his niece Kayla (Sidney); and his close friends, Gerald Hillier, Pius Cox, Shane Cousins, Candace Boland, Howard Cousins, Julien Snook, Wade and Dena Stoodley.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Wiseman's Funeral Homes - Fortune (168-170 Bayview St #168, Fortune, NL A0E1P0).
