He was predeceased by : his parents, Thomas Hickman and Sarah Hickman; and his siblings, Jack, Dulcie, Martha and Mary.

He is survived by : his wife Florence; his children, Derrick (Jo-Anne Cull) of St. John and Edith Grandy (June) of Salmonier Line; his sister Blanche Crowley of Rose Green; his grandchild Sarah (Marc); and his great grandchild Mia of Macy.
