She was predeceased by : her husband Hartland Thomas; her parents, Nathan Spencer and Phyllis Spencer; her siblings, Maxwell, Minnie and Eileen; her sons-in-law, John Barnes and Cluny Hanham; and her parents-in-law, George and Edith Green.

She is survived by : her children, Claude (Marie) of Grand Bank, Hartley Jr. (Lorraine) of St. John's, Eileen Barnes of Fortune, Lucy Green of Mount Pearl, Joyce Hanham of Cambridge, ON and Shirley Milligan (Bruce) of Atlin, BC; and her close friend Martha Nichol.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 24th 2021 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Wiseman's Funeral Home (168-170 Bayview St, Fortune, NL A0E 1P0). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 25th 2021 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, March 25th 2021 at the All Saints Anglican Cemetery (Cemetery Rd, Fortune, NL A0E, Canada A0E, Canada). In keeping with the current COVID-19 regulations The Green Family will be accepting visitors at Wiseman's Funeral Home in Fortune, Wednesday, March 24, 2021 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

In Leah's memory donations may be made to the All Saints Anglican Cemetery Fund, Fortune, NL or flowers gratefully accepted.
