He was predeceased by: his parents, Loretta Whittle and John Whittle. He is survived by: his son Helix Whittle of St. Bernard's; his siblings, Cynthia Whittle (Scott) of Creston South, Johnny Whittle (Kim) of Medicine Hat, AB and Tim Whittle (Sabrina) of Brooks, AB; his nephews, Gerard Whittle (Margaret), Nathan Whittle (Catherine), Johnathan Whittle (Tessie) and Landon Whittle; his niece Sarah Whittle; and his close friends, David Stewart, Gerald Whittle and Elisa Thornhill.

In Shawn's memory, in-lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Whittle Family.
