She was predeceased by : her husband Frank Barnes; and her parents, Mary Hillier and Abraham Hillier. She is survived by : her children, Wilson of Grand Bank and Connie of Fortune; her grandchildren, Jamie, Bryan, Terilyn, Matthew, Dylan, Connie, Tyson, Desiree, Liam and Stef; her siblings, Joe, Irene (Pasadena), Allan Clayton (Fortune), Sharon Lorrie (Fortune), Bernie Reuben (Paradise), Marylin, Ivy Mary (Fortune), Kevin Janie (Fortune), Fred (Paradise) and Jim (Winnipeg); her close friends, Eileen and Norma; and her caregiver Amada Follett.

Donations can be made in Winnie memory to All Saints Cemetery Fund, or flowers greatly appreciated.

Debbie Hillier wrote a sympathy message

“Dear Wilson, Terry, Frank, Bob and Connie. Thinking of you all and your families at this very sad time. Your Mom was a wonderful person and was certainly always nice to me and my children. She always had a smile and was kind to everyone and will be missed. I was disappointed that I did not get home to visit and for the funeral. I am living and working in St. John's and unfortunately could not get home. Sending condolences from me and my family. Sincerely, Debbie Rogers”
