She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, George Upshall and Lillian Upshall (Roger Saunders); her brothers, Winston and Franklin; her daughters, Renée Saunders and Melanie Wheeler (Shawn); her sisters, Lorraine Wiseman, Norma Stanley (Don) and Daisy King; her grandchildren, Evan, Claire, Caleb Gallant, Brett, Sarah and Zachary Wheeler; and her friend Gary Cooper. She was also cherished by her friends and family, was an amazing wife, mom, daughter, sister, grandmother, friend.

In lieu of flowers, donations are welcomed to the Canadian Diabetes Association , Alzheimer's Society of Newfoundland and Labrador , or to a charity of your choice in Barbara's name.

“It's been more than 4 years since the passing of Barb. She was a great wife, Mother and sister. Barb looked after her husband, our brother Roger Saunders as best as she could. I remember when they got married in St.John's, Newfoundland. I was their maid of honour when they married in St. John's.. I really miss them. Dianne, Nov. 2023”
