She was loved and cherished by many people including : her caregiver Lillian; her parents-in-law, Violet and Eli Baker; her brother Bill Piers (Carmen); and her nieces and nephews, Geoff and Stephanie.
She hosted concerts in Ottawa and Quebec for charity and invited people she had met through her studies to participate.
