She was predeceased by: her parents, Beatrice Mayo and John Cyrus Mayo. She is survived by: her husband Sam of Gander; her children, Jerome (Doreen) of Gander, John (Sharon) of Gander, Jim (Peggy) of Gander, Sam (Cosetta) of Gander, Jeanmarie (Gerald) of Gander and Susan (Gordon) of Marystown; her grandchildren, Fraser, Noralie, Allison (Chris), John (Paulette), Brian (Lauren), Brianne, Andrea, Andrew (Robyn), Randy (Alicia), Jason (Kelly), Jordan (Brittany) and Ben (Stephanie); her stepgrandchildren, Jonathan (Lianne) and Melissa (Mike); her great grandchildren, Mason, Jadyn, Jersi, Carrie, Ann, Adelyn, Owen, Luke, Max, Sam, Adam, Paige, Nathan, Dominic, Hannah and Zoey; and her grandchildren, Calla, Jacob and Jack.
Even through the past two years of COVID lockdowns and visiting restrictions, she stayed in touch through Facebook, Facetiming and texting.
Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in Barbara's memory may be made to the Gander SPCA, St. Martin's Anglican Cathedral building fund or a charity of one's choice.
