It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Claude Hender of Gander, Newfoundland, born in Gambo, Newfoundland, who passed away on July 21, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Hender and Ada Hender; his brother Doug; and his siblings-in-law, Frank Short and Rose Hender.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret (Green); his children, Derek (Paula), David (Laura) and Janice Vriesendorp (Kevin); his siblings, Cecil, Calvin, Shirley Short, Clayton (Winnie), Evelyn Locke (Derek) and Scott (Wendy); and his siblings-in-law, Jean Hender, Frances Strang, Leslie Green (Daisy) and John Green (Lynda). He is also survived by many nephew, nieces, cousins and good friends.
