It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas Roy Freake of Gander, Newfoundland, who passed away on January 22, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Freake and Ivy Freake of Boyd's Cove; his brother Stanley; and his grandson Matthew Sargent. He is survived by: his children, Dwayne, Michael, Eddie (Jackie), Tracey (Gord), Vicki (Bryan), Jessica (Mark) and Matthew (Whitney); his grandchildren, Christopher, Natalie, Jacob, Evan, Cora, Cameryn, Ella, Riley and Jaxon; his siblings, Reg (Ruth), Eric (Sylvia), Phyllis (Bart) and Doris (John); his niece Kayla; and his nephews, Shayne and Mark.
