It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Janet Horlick (Gander, Newfoundland), who passed away at the age of 69, on September 27, 2025. As we bid Janet farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Janet is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Barrett's Funeral Home (238 Hamilton Ave, St. John's, NL A1E1J7).
Donations can be made in Janet's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) or another charity of your choice.
