He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Ducey and Elizabeth Ann Ducey; and his siblings, Catherine Carew, Celine Fitzgerald, Margaret Hinchey, Loretta Byrne, Bernard and Kevin.
He is survived by: his wife Anne; his children, Brian, Brenda (Jeff) and Sheila (Miles); his grandchildren, Jonathan, Ryan and Emily; and his siblings, Barbara Carey of King's Cove and Adrian Ducey (Bride) of Grand Falls. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
