It is with sadness that the passing of Mackenzie Goodyear (Gander, Newfoundland) is shared. Mackenzie, born on May 18, 1997, passed away on June 6, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He is survived by: his mother Margaret Burt (Rocky); his son Gabe; his sister Samantha Waterman (Matthew); his father Robert Goodyear; his grandparents, Joan and Edgar; his aunts and uncles, Madonna (Dave), Liz (Corey), Judy, Alice (Leroy), Nadine, Mike (Jill) and Rob; and his cousins, Catherine, Ryan, Jessica, Kenny, Miranda, Emma, Hannah, Tylor and Bianca.
A special thank you is extended to nurses Angel and Libby, whose kindness, support, and exceptional care brought comfort when it was needed most; to Dr. Trop for his professionalism and compassion; and to Beverly of the Gift of Life program for her guidance and support throughout Mackenzie's organ donation journey. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mackenzie's memory may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association in support of mental health awareness, education, and services.
