He was loved and cherished by many people including: his former wife Kathleen Layte (Nee Boyde); his parents, Aaron Layte and Florence Layte (Joy Layte); his daughters, Darlene (Sylvain Roy) of Bonnyville, AB, Arleen (Jim Scharpegge) of Edmonton, AB and Charlene (Don Shugarue) of Moncton, NB; his siblings, Ronald (Dallas) of Birchy Bay, NL, Woodrow (Christine) of Birchy Bay, NL, Derrick (Debby) of Lewisporte, NL, Doreen (Brooklyn White) of Newstead, NL, Betty Kelly (Brian Paterson) of Guelph, ON, Shirley (Winston Tulk) of Stoneville, NL, Mavis (Wallace Hart) of Guelph, ON, Kay (Jack Ayres) of Guelph, ON, Rosalyn Cooper of St. John and Wanda (John Curlew) of Gander, NL; his grandchildren, Jessica, Mike, Tiffany, Kennedi, Madison, Colin, Danielle and Darryl; and his great grandchildren, Kyla, Lauryn, Josie, Bridget and Brandon.
