He was predeceased by: his wife Florence; his parents, Rita and Edwin; his siblings, Howard, Harold, Cyril and Joyce; his parents-in-law, Edgar and Sarah Hodder; and his brothers-in-law, Leslie Mercer and Brett Oake.

He is survived by: his siblings, Stephen (Rosetta), Gertie, Mike, Marion (Donald), Joan (Harvey), Yvonne (Larry), Sybil and Sandy (Vera); and his siblings-in-law, Madge, Beatrice, Dulcie (Otto) and Morley (Daphne). He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
