Robert Lanning Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Robert Lanning (Gander, Newfoundland), who passed away on September 22, 2025, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Marie Lanning (Langdon) and Eric Lanning; and his father-in-law James R. Whatley of Gander. He is survived by: his wife Beverly (Whatley); his sons, Adam (Alison) and James (Melanie); his grandson Cohen; his pet Steeler; his siblings, Wayne (Georgina), Mona (Howard), Karen and Kelly (Jerry); his mother-in-law Phyllis Whatley; and his sister-in-law Patricia Smith (Brian). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Stacey's Funeral Home (60 Roe Ave, Gander, NL A1V 2E1). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. Martin's Anglican Cathedral (Gander, NL 2E7, 2 Lindbergh Rd, Gander, NL A1V1T8). A burial was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at the All Saints Cemetery.
