He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Goodyear and Caroline Goodyear; his in-laws, Wesley and Phylis Templeman; his siblings, Marion Newhook (Fred), Nina Wilkins (Roland), Scott Goodyear, Lemuel Goodyear (Ruth), Ricky Goodyear, Ethel Clarke (Philip) and Ruby Parsons (Seymour); his siblings-in-law, Donna Musseau (Harold) and William Brown; and his nephew Danny Templeman.

He is survived by: his wife Linda; his son Andrew (Stephanie); his grandson Kyle; his siblings, Harvey Goodyear (Connie) and Olga Brown; and his brother-in-law Ralph (Rose Templeman).

A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 21st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses (110 Magee Rd, Gander, NL A1V2R3).
