He was predeceased by: his son Dwayne; his parents, William Day and Ethel Day; his father-in-law Archibald (Violet Crocker); his siblings, Jean Harfitt, Victor Day (Lucy), Onslow Day and Herbert Day (Cora); and his siblings-in-law, Gerald Sweet, Gerald Inkpen, Lloyd Grandy, Frazer Crocker, Robert Mayo, Etta Foote (Glen), Blanche Dunford (Hank) and Millie Peach (Brud).
He is survived by: his wife Lillian Day (Crocker); his children, Jamie Day (Jordan) and Christie Peach (Terry) of Garnish; his siblings, Margaret Sweet of Halifax, Joan Inkpen of Halifax, Sadie Grandy of Garnish, Bernice Day (Bill) of Toronto, Lloyd Day (Meta) of Garnish and Jim Day (Doris) of Garnish; his siblings-in-law, Sherman Harfitt, Glenda Mayo, Melvena Banadya (Ken), Adelaide Clarke (Herb), Elsie Crocker, Barb Brake (Norbert), Bev Bell (Ralph), Linda Hillier, Wesley Crocker (Rowena), Freeman Crocker (Shirley), George Crocker (Joanne) and Jason Crocker (Winnie); and his son-in-law Terry.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Salvation Army Citadel (604 Sunset Dr, Garnish, NL A0E1T0). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Salvation Army Cemetery (604 Sunset Dr, Garnish, NL A0E1T0).
