Sterling Freake Obituary
We are sad to announce that on May 18, 2025, at the age of 93, Sterling Freake (Glenwood, Newfoundland) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eli Freake and Daisy Freake; his son John; his son-in-law Albert Parmenter; his great grandchildren, Hannah and Nicholas; his siblings, Ralph, Pearl (Otto), Millicent (Lloyd) and Mildred (William); and his siblings-in-law, Roy Roberts, Vernon Rowe, Martin Rowe, Mabel Hiscock (Bill) and Marie Hogan.
He is survived by: his wife Irma; and his children, Chris (Joyce), Sandra, David (Sherry), Rick, Darrell (Darlene), Marilyn (Glenn), Sister Donna (John) of Ontario and Kay. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Petecostal Church. A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Pentecostal Church (22 Main St, Glenwood, NL A0G2K0). A burial was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 at the Pentecostal Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Sterling's memory can be made to the Riverside Pentecostal Church Cemetery Fund.
