He was predeceased by : his parents, Wilfred Janes and Bridie Janes of Traytown; and his father-in-law Darius Nippard of Glovertown. He is survived by : his wife Alice; his daughter Robin; his son-in-law Steven; his mother-in-law Rachel Nippard; his siblings, Brenda (Ivan), Wilfred (Gornetta), Lorne (Debbie) and Daren (Cathy); and his siblings-in-law, Barry, Melvina (Steven) and Lisa (Steven). He is also survived by many nephews and nieces, cousins and a large circle of friends.
