It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gertrude (Lane) Troke (Glovertown, Newfoundland), who passed away on November 30, 2020, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Victor James and Martha Ann Lane (Hunter); her husband Walter; her siblings, Alma Oldford (George), Etta Oldford (Cleaves), Avalon Lane (Edith) and Mack Lane; and her siblings-in-law, Harold Troke (Minnie), David Troke (Emily) and Eva Dyke (Ralph).

She is survived by : her children, Sidney (Dorothy), William (Stella), Rita (Murray), Daphne (Gilbert), Marie (Roger) and Joyce (Terry). She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and a large number of nephews, nieces and friends.

Due to COVID 19 regulations, funeral home visitation and church service is by invitation only.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. James Church Cemetery fund or a charity of one's choice.
