It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Holloway of Glovertown, Newfoundland, who passed away on May 20, 2026, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Hedley Holloway; her sisters, Pearl Osmond and Viola Peddle; and her parents, Charlie Sturge and Delilah Sturge.
She is survived by: her children, Graham Holloway (Adelia), Glenn Holloway (Anita) and Beverley Skanes (Raymond); her grandchildren, Mark Holloway, Nancy Bunch (Terry), Sarah Keats (Shane), April Cindric (Mateo), Melissa Skanes (Shawn) and Robyn Skanes; her great grandchildren, William Bunch, Olivia, Evan Keats, Thea, Luca and Bella Cindric; and her siblings, Cecil Sturge and Doreen Hynes.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 25th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Oram's Funeral Homes - Glovertown (17 Main St S, Glovertown, NL A0G2L0). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 26th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Salvation Army Church (216 Main St N, Glovertown, NL A0G2M0).
Donations in her memory can be made to the Glovertown Salvation Army Corps.
