He is survived by: his wife Mary Hunter; his sons, Peter and Michael Hunter; his grandchildren, Leah, Trayton, Jenna and Brandin Hunter; his siblings, Elizabeth Mitchell and Keith Hunter; and his siblings-in-law, Frank Barry and Elizabeth "Beth" Hunter.

A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Oram's Funeral Homes - Glovertown (17 Main St S, Glovertown, NL A0G2L0). A burial will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at the Anglican Cemetery.
