He was predeceased by : his wife Noreen Margaret Barton; his son Michael Timothy Barton; his siblings, Genevieve Russell, William, Norman and Patrick Barton; and his parents, Patrick Barton and Mary Barton of Goulds, Newfoundland..
He is survived by : his children, Derek Barton (Veronica Jurado Garcia), Morelia, Mexico, Owen Barton (Jacqueline Campbell) and Alaina Harper (Mark Harper); his grandchildren, Andrew Ellis, Gabrielle, Gavin Barton and Susan Snow; his siblings, Dorothy Howlett, Catherine Whitten, Patricia Snow (Roy), Linda Johnson, Marie Barton and David Barton (Linda); and his siblings-in-law, Regina Leonard, Pat Dawson (Gerry), Sheila Leonard (Presentation Convent), Gerald Leonard (Trudy), John Leonard (Carol) and Blair Leonard. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, friends and extended family.
