She was predeceased by : her husband Weldon; her parents, Weston Williams and Alice Williams; and her siblings, George, Alex, Eugene and Marjorie Samson (Lloyd).

She is survived by : her son Wayne; her daughter-in-law Joan; her daughters, Lorraine (John), Sharon, Judy (Ron), Annette (Blair) and Leann (Bob); her grandchildren, Tom, Wendy, Geoffrey, Mark, Kyle, Matthew, Julia, Nicholas, Lucas, Hannah and Riley; her great grandchildren, Jorja, Grace and Hudson; and her sisters, Gwen Williams (Ron Tucker) and Olive Carter (late Gordon).

Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in Valda's memory may be made to St. Paul's Anglican Church, Goulds.
