He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Powell and Bessie Powell (Brown); his brother Duke Powell; his parents-in-law, Leonard and Reta Inkpen (Moulton); his brothers-in-law, Wayne Snow, John Furey, Arnold Inkpen (Valetta), Russell Inkpen, Earl Inkpen, Roy Inkpen (Shirley) and Jerry Appleby; and his nephews, Jason Inkpen, Barry Snow and Darren Inkpen.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Inkpen-Powell (Sue); his children, Terry, Robert (Tanya) and Nicole (Peter); his grandchildren, Grayson and McKynlee; his siblings, Suzanne and Angus (Linda); and his siblings-in-law, Bill Inkpen (Dot), Fraser Inkpen (Elaine), Ella Appleby (Kevin), Sharon, Mary and Linda. He is also survived by other family members, including many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Alvin's memory may be made to Hope United Church, Lewin's Cove, A0E 2G0, or a charity of one's choice.
