She was predeceased by: her parents, Edith Smith and Thomas Smith; her brother Ford Smith; her brothers-in-law, Walter Kenway and Randell Smith; and her niece Madonna Saunders.

She is survived by: her siblings, Greta Saunders (Cyril) of Grand Bank, Madonna Kenway of Red Harbour, June Smith of Brookside, Keith Smith (Dot) of Boat Harbour, Frazer Smith (Malfred) of St. John's, Dave Smith (Deborah) of St. John's and Olive Freake (Howard) of Gander.

Visitation was held on Thursday, February 26th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Friday, February 27th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Anglican Church. A funeral service was held on Friday, February 27th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.

In Frances's memory in-lieu of flowers donations may be made to Anglican Church of the Ascension.
