With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gertrude Rideout of Grand Bank, Newfoundland, born in Pools Cove, Newfoundland, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 6, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Bambury and Beatrice Bambury (Maxwell); and her daughter Marilyn. She is survived by: her children, Maxine and Paul (Cheryl); her grandchildren, Allison (Greg) and Mark (Cassandra); her great grandchild Anna; and her son-in-law Brian.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wiseman's Funeral Homes - Grand Bank (48 Marine Dr, Grand Bank, NL A0E1W0). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Grand Bank United Church (1 Church St, Grand Bank, NL A0E1W0). A burial will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grand Bank United Church.
