Lewis Payne Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lewis Payne of Grand Bank, Newfoundland, who passed away on September 3, 2021. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his wife Violet; his parents, Andrew Payne and Theresa Payne; his siblings, Marion Kendall (Angus), Ethel Maude Payne, Sandy Payne (Bessie), Harold Payne and Ernest Payne; and his sister-in-law Pheobe Tucker (Ray).

He is survived by : his children, John Payne of Grand Bank, Brenda Cheeseman (Wayne) of Ottawa, ON and Gail Butler (Jim); his brother-in-law Edward Downton (Joan); his grandchildren, Heather Beduhn (John), Jillian O'Brien (Stuart), Patrick Butler (Kenny) and Emily Butler (Adam); and his great grandchildren, William, Violet, Logan and Claire.

In keeping with the current Covid-19 regulations this will be a walk through visitation with a maximum of 30 people permitted inside the building at one time.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Grand Bank Lions Club (with proceeds to go to the Max Simms Camp) or St. Alban's Anglican Church.
