She was predeceased by: her husband Norman Drakes; her parents, Arthur Skinner and Esther Skinner; her parents-in-law, Onslow and Annie Drakes; her siblings, Walter Skinner and Georgina Herridge; and her son-in-law Angus Barnes.
She is survived by: her children, Norman Jr. (Bernice) and Frances Barnes (Jim Caul) of St. John's; her grandchildren, Joanne Bourgeois (Gilles) and Corey Drakes (Claire); and her great grandchildren, Gregory, Madison and Aleesa.
In Martha Jane's memory, donations may be made to the Grand Bank Salvation Army Cemetery Fund.
