He was predeceased by: his significant other Edwina Williams; and his parents, Fred Smith and Vivian Smith. He is survived by: his children, Jody Hayden (John) of Whitby, ON, Jeffery Smith (Jennifer) of Whitby, ON and Jamie Smith of Scarborough, ON; his grandchildren, Jamie (Sarah), Brett, Taylor, Jeffrey, Jared and Jack; his great grandchildren, Owen, Brody, Weston and Jaxon; and his sisters, Betty Smith (Lloyd) and Bertha Lake (George).
