He was predeceased by: his parents, Onslow Drakes and Annie Drakes; his siblings, Reuben Drakes and Frances Breon; his son-in-law Angus Barnes; and his sister-in-law Hattie Drakes.
He is survived by: his wife Martha; his children, Norman Jr. (Bernice) and Frances Barnes (Jim); his brother Onslow Drakes (Mary) of Ontario; his grandchildren, Joanne Bourgeois (Gilles) and Corey Drakes (Claire); and his great grandchildren, Gregory, Madison and Aleesa.
In Norman's memory, donations may be made to the Grand Bank Salvation Army Cemetery Fund.
