He is survived by: his wife Phoebe; his children, Andrew (Heather) of Beaumont, AB., Jamey (Vicky) of Leduc County, AB. and Tracey Thornhill (Ross) of Torbay, NL.; his father Garfield Cox Sr.; his siblings, Evelyn Snook (Arthur), Linda Bennett (Otto), Garfield Jr. (Lillian) and Robert Melvin (Maisie); his sister-in-law Cindy Cox; and his grandchildren, Isabella, David, Kayla, Alexander, Kaia, Lexi and Gavin.
