It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Elizabeth Gertrude Caravan (Grand Falls-Windsor, Newfoundland), who passed away on December 12, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Newhook and Joyce Newhook. She is survived by: her husband Robert Caravan; her daughters, Leanne and Lesley (Trevor); her grandchildren, Ry Pembroke, Taylor Caravan, Gabriel Caravan and Paige Caravan; and her siblings, Alan Newhook (Janice), Susan Addison (Tim), Andrea Godin (Adrien) and Deborah Tremblett.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Hoskins Funeral Home (12 Earle St, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL A2B1E8). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Memorial United Church (13 Hill Rd, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL A2A1G9).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the incredible Lionel Kelland Hospice, whose staff treated Barbara with such care and love to the very end.
