He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Rose Cater Sampson; his parents-in-law, Eleazer and Melvina Decker; his grandparents, Edward, Bernice Sampson, Albert and Nellie Cater; his children, Jacob (Kallie) and Rebecca (Aiden); his grandson Sonny; his siblings, William (Nancy), Lorraine Bowne (Harvey), Margaret Piercy (Jim), Derrick (Paula), David (Kathy) and Lynette McDonald (Kirk); his in-laws, David Decker, Ronald Decker (Audean) and Cyril Decker; his father Harold Sampson; his wife Linda Decker of Ming's Bight; and his friends, Howard, Lloyd and Bruce.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 4th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Hoskins Funeral Home (12 Earle St, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL A2B1E8). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 5th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Windsor Pentecostal Church (97 King St, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL A2B1H2).
