He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Murphy and Hazel Murphy (Abbott); his siblings, Mary Barry (Phillip), Elizabeth Murphy, Elaine Lynch, Shirley and Robert; his brother-in-law Morris Mercer; and his parents-in-law, Mary and Michael Keough.
He is survived by: his siblings, James (Cathy), Frank (Sheila), Thomas (Juanita), Paul (Lisa), Jean Butt (Winston), Yvonne Murphy, Sarah Howse (David), Marion Benson (Vince), Edith Wilson (Terry), Verna Mercer, Dianne Brown (Glenn) and Laurie Ann Murphy; and his brother-in-law Brendan Lynch. He is also survived by his family, friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Sunset Memorial Funeral Home (10 Bayley St, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL A2A2T5). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Parish (5 Station Rd, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL A2A1M5).
