She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Best Abercrombie and Fay Abercrombie of Wabush; and her brother Rick Abercrombie (Kim). She is survived by: her husband Herb Strickland; her sisters, Nikki Abercrombie (Paul) and Sue Marshall (Brian); her children, Brad Strickland, Herb Strickland (Brittany) and Sheri Doyle (Conor); and her grandchildren, Maeve, Clark and Reid. She is also survived by in-laws, nieces, nephews, friends and cousins.

In lieu of flowers and gifts, the family recommends donations to the Lionel Kelland Hospice in Grand Falls-Windsor.
