He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Young and Rebecca Young; and his sons, David and John. He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his sons, Mike (Lynn) and Chris (Lynn); his grandchildren, Mark (Renee), Stephanie (Adam), Jonathan (Marissa), Grant (Claire), Katie, Emily (Dan), Philip (Elizabeth), Alexandra and Katelyn; his great grandchildren, Maggie, Henry, Harper, Heidi, Josh, Thomas, Ryker, Benjamin and Leo; his granddaughter Doris Duder; his niece Melanie; and his nephew Jeff. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 6th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Sunset Memorial Funeral Home (10 Bayley St, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL A2A2T5). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 7th 2026 at 1:00 PM at 27 Park St, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL A2B1C7.
