Madonna Whiffen Obituary

With solemn reverence, we commemorate Madonna Whiffen of Grand Falls-Windsor, Newfoundland, whose life came to an end on December 30, 2025 at the age of 76, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Quirk and Bridget Quirk; her husband Pius Whiffen; her siblings, Frank Quirk (Joan), Margaret O'Quinn (Steven) and Tom Quirk (Mary); and her siblings-in-law, Michael Stokes, Edward Hogan, Michael Whiffen, Patrick Whiffen, Patrick Mooney, William O'Reilly, Priscillia Mooney and Shirley O'Reilly.

She is survived by: her daughter Penny McDonald; her son-in-law Robert McDonald of Grand Falls; her son William Whiffen (Bill) of Acton, Ontario; her sisters, Angela Stokes and Elizabeth Hogan; and her sister-in-law Madeline Whiffen.

Visitation was held on Sunday, January 4th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Hoskins Funeral Home (12 Earle St, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL A2B1E8). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, January 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Parish (5 Station Rd, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL A2A1M5).
