He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Rich and Phoebe Rich; his sister Anne Michelin; his brother-in-law Oswald Michelin; and his nephews, Bruce Michelin and Kenneth Michelin.

He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Lorraine (Gerald), Jennifer (Rocky), Joseph (Johanne) and Jeffery (Josselyn); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Shawn, Shannon, Kenny, Crystal, Carrie, Terri, Danielle, Jonathan, Lori, Kimmy and Mariah; and his close friends, Kevin Wall and Francis Coates.
