He was predeceased by : his parents, William John Peyton and Evelyn Peyton; his stepmother Minnie Hillier Peyton; his brother Alvin Peyton; his sister-in-law Goldie Adams Peyton; and his sister Eliza Peyton.

He is survived by : his wife Sharon Peyton; his children, Greg (Cora), Devin (Roberta), Tammy and Nicole; his grandchildren, Shandi (Marcel), Shawna (Normie), Nicholas, Madison, Lyndon, Brody, Brianna and Jaxson; his great grandchildren, Jonas, Jakaila and Jagger; and his sisters, Ethel (Fred), Inga, Netta, Doreen (Jim) and Wanda (Glossen). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
