With sadness, we share the passing of Elsie Emily Bungay (Harbour Breton, Newfoundland). Elsie, born on February 21, 1933, passed away on October 13, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Lewis Bungay; her sons, George and Levi; her siblings, Lucy Forsey and Freeman Forsey; her siblings-in-law, Maxwell Forsey and Edna Forsey; her parents, Harry Forsey and Sarah Forsey; and her parents-in-law, George and Annie Bungay.
She is survived by: her children, Enos (Mary) and Emily (Dave); her grandchildren, Laura Mullins (Dale), Kristie Poole (Andy), Grant Bungay (Shelley) and AB; her great grandchildren, Emma, Henry, Braden, Eric and Kaiden; and her close friend Sadie Fiander. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Salvation Army Church (44 Church Rd, Seal Cove, NL A0H2G0).
