She was predeceased by: her husband Hubert; her great grandchild Harlyn Baker; her parents, Hughie Pierce and Mary Pierce; her parents-in-law, James and Annie Short; her son-in-law Raymond Cox; her siblings, Eva Pierce, Clayton Pierce, Calvin Pierce, Hughie Jr. Pierce and Walt Pierce; and her siblings-in-law, Maxine Pierce, Ethel Pierce, Annie Pierce, Ruby Lilly, Walter Pierce and Sandy Rose.
She is survived by: her children, Brenda, Ruby (Clayton), Sheila (Leo), Annie (Dean), Janice (Albert), Daphne and Jimmy; her pet Patches; her siblings, Lucy (Bill), Roy, Gordon (Christine) and Winston (Bertha); her siblings-in-law, Beatrice, Betty, Maisie, Ethel Rose and Norman; and her special homecare workers, Denise, Georgina, Charlene and Kayla. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, May 3rd 2026 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, on Monday, May 4th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Spencer's Funeral Home (190 Canada Dr, Harbour Breton, NL A0H 1P0). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Bartholomew's Anglican Church.
