We announce the death of Ed Butt of Harbour Grace, Newfoundland, who passed away on July 12, 2026. Ed will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his wife Helen; his parents, Michael and Dorothy; his siblings, Walter, Ron (Betty), John, Mary Cashin (Jim) and Vivian Sullivan (Joe); and his parents-in-law, James and Margaret Cooper.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Butt (Doug Johnson) of Sherwood Park, AB and Damien Butt (Melissa) of Sherwood Park, AB; his grandchildren, Douglas Coombs (Celine), Michael Coombs, Seamus Crane, Leah Sevenson (Douglas), Jaxon Butt, Karla Hatch (Chris Doucet) and Kelsey Hatch (Matt Swift); his great grandchildren, Liam, Riley, Sophia, Hayden, Arielle and Akyler; and his sisters, Helen Dionne (late Danny), Frances Wrice (late Leo) and Jean Reynolds (late Ray).
