With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Francis Holloway of Harbour Grace, Newfoundland, who passed away on August 9, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Joseph and Frances; his great grandchild Willow Lanto; his siblings, Graham (Mildred), Jim (Sadie), Madeline, Genevieve Charette (Paul), Rita Rinehart (Raymond), Mary Peddle (Charles) and Agnes Fuller (Bill); his uncle Leo; his aunt Genevieve Holloway; his son-in-law David Penney; his brothers-in-law, Aiden Hibbs and Charlie Phillips; and his close friends, Gertie Sheppard and Don Oliver.
He is survived by: his children, Pearl McIntyre (Stephen), Madeline Lanto, Paul (Allison) and Gordon; his son-in-law Peter Lanto; his grandchildren, Sean (Katlyn), Brandon (Tiahna), Joshua (Sandra), P. J., Selina, Erica, Jenna and Levi; his great grandchild Dorian; his sisters, Lorraine Hibbs, Rose Phillips and Betty Phillips (Sam); and his close friends, Peter Sheppard, Davey Sheppard and Ches Dove.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Noel's Funeral Home (21 Harvey St, Harbour Grace, NL A0A2M0). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in Francis' memory may be made to either.
