She was predeceased by : her parents, William Newman and Lucy Newman. She is survived by : her husband Richard; her children, Marlena and Pearce (Stephen Keough); and her siblings, Norm Newman (Judy) of Bell Island, Roger Newman (April) of Bell Island, Billy Newman (Phyllis), Harbour Grace South, Nelson Newman, Lilly Gosse (Gord) of Bell Island, Bev Maloney (Mike) of Bell Island and Mary Shawnoo.
In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre, 300 Prince Philip Drive, St. John's, NL, A1B 3V6.
