We are sad to announce that, on March 23, 2026 we had to say goodbye to Christine Whelan (Hickmans Harbour, Newfoundland). You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Colin Toope and Sophia Toope; her sister Ida Spurrell; and the father of her children James Whelan. She is survived by: her children, Jennifer and Jay (Natasha); her grandchildren, Kali (Justin), Justina, Yaroslavna, Svetislav and Svetagor; her brothers, James Toope (Barbara) and Lloyd Toope; her brother-in-law Willis Spurrell; and her friends, Margaret Purchase, Jim Colbourne and Olga Randell. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Donations in Christine's memory may be made to the Trinity Historical Society.
