She was predeceased by: her son Dean Picco; her parents, Ronald Hickey and Mary Hickey; her siblings, Kennett Hickey, Shirley Sonley and Carol Ann Ryan (Gerald); her parents-in-law, Augustine and Violet Whiffen; and her sister-in-law Evelyn Whiffen.
She is survived by: her husband Victor Whiffen; her pet Misty; her children, Michael Picco (Shannon), Kevin Picco (Tammy) and Darlene Ballard (Darren); her siblings, Marie O'Brien (David), Virginia McEvoy (Walter), Barbara Hanlon, Yvonne Skidmore (Bob), Liz Dean (Noel), Gail Smith (Clem), Trudi Mercer (Ward), Connie Grace (Tammy), Jim Hickey (Verna), Ron Hickey (Pat), Kevin Hickey and Conrad Hickey (Star); and her siblings-in-law, Marcella (Reg), Loretta (Byron), Marie (Bernie), Sally (Ben), Dorothy (Jerry), Gus, Shirley, Bernard (Michelle), Harold (Donna) and Herb (Jacqueline).
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Christ the King Catholic Church (16 Bayview Dr, Little Harbour East, NL A0B0C9).
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family to be disbursed to a charity of their choice at a later date.
