It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Wilson Stoyles (Hickmans Harbour, Newfoundland), who passed away at the age of 94, on December 12, 2025. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Stoyles and Beatrice Stoyles; his siblings, Chesley Stoyles and Ruby Russell; and his parents-in-law, William and Elizabeth Goobie (Bessie).
He is survived by: his wife Audrey Stoyles; his children, Wilson, Jr. Stoyles (Caroline Matyas), Catherine Duguay (Dan), Christine Thorne (Gerard) and Robert Stoyles; his siblings, Mildred Chipp, Wilbert Stoyles (Dorothy), Bram Stoyles (Elaine) and Reg Stoyles (Joan); and his sister-in-law Mary Sheppard. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cherished friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Hillview United Church. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of one's choice.
